Discover Neeltje Jans and the Delta Works

Located in the middle of the Oosterschelde is Neeltje Jans, a former construction island that played an important role in the development of the impressive Dutch Delta Works. From EuroParcs De Zeeuwse Duinen, it is a fascinating destination combining nature, water and history. The famous Oosterschelde Storm Surge Barrier is 9 kilometres long and consists of 65 enormous concrete pillars.

Water, nature and adventure

On Neeltje Jans, you can admire the storm surge barrier up close and learn more about the 1953 North Sea flood and the construction of the Delta Works. At Deltapark Neeltje Jans, you can explore interactive exhibitions and enjoy a variety of attractions. Take a boat trip across the Oosterschelde to look for seals and porpoises, discover the underwater world or enjoy the various water attractions.
