Westkapelle
At the very western tip of Walcheren lies Westkapelle. There is plenty to do and see here. Westkapelle beach is, of course, not to be missed. This clean beach is lovely on summer days, but even when the weather is less pleasant you can take long walks on the beach, walk on the dunes (did you know that one of the highest dunes in the Netherlands can be found here?) or take a walk or bike ride through the Westkapelse woods. After a day at the beach or a long walk, settle down in one of the cosy restaurants in the village on the main street or at one of the beach bars. There are also nice shops, lighthouse and museums to visit.
Strandpaviljoen Scheldezicht
Less than 400 metres from the holiday park, you will find Beach Pavilion Scheldezicht. The place for a delicious snack or drink with stunning sea views.
Middelburg
Although a large part of Middelburg was destroyed during a bombing raid in 1940, many historic buildings have been restored to their former glory. Stroll through the idyllic streets and squares of the capital of Zeeland. Also take a look at the Vismarkt, paved with cobblestones and with large chestnut trees and the town hall of Middelburg. Or climb the 90.5 meter high abbey tower 'De Lange Jan'.
Seal safari with boat trip Vlissingen
During the summer months of July and August, Rondvaart Vlissingen allows you to take a closer look at seals on one of its round trips every Friday and Saturday. The round trips depart from Vlissingen's inner harbour, to the Westerschelde, along Michel de Ruyter and to the Hooge Platen where the seals are resting.
